Mary
stitched up this
quick Christmas bishop
in Spechler-Vogel's
white Imperial broadcloth.
She's done a double
sleeve with the top angel
sleeve in a Swiss
embroidery featuring
white-on-white Christmas
trees. The Swiss
embroidery is first cut
out by the angel sleeve
pattern, then basted on
top of the short sleeve.
The two sleeves are
stitched as one piece to
the bishop front and
backs. Then the entire
dress is pleated.
The smocking
plate is an adaptation of
Ellen McCarn's "First Christmas." Red piping
accents the bound sleeves.
