July '07 Inspirations

Tiffany "whipped up" this
embroidery design one
evening while her family
was watching TV - what
talent!!

The top is Children's Corner
"Louise" with the bodice
shortened and two ruffles
added in place of the skirt.
The ruffles measure 4  3/4"
and 8  1/2" from the waist.
Each ruffle is edged with a
different constrasting
rick rack.

The fabric is lime cotton
pique from Fabric Finders
with the bodice done in
white Imperial broadcloth.

The bullion flowers and the ladybug are adapted from
the A-Z of Bullions book from Australian Smocking
and Embroidery.  Each bullion petal is enclosed with
a lazy daisy in a contrasting color.

The "Louise" collar has been widened a bit and is edged
with a double layer of rick rack (one layer is placed
right on top of another).

The flower buttons have
been one of our favorite
trims this summer.

Tiffany has used them
down the back of her top
with a smaller button on
top of a larger button.
It's good to keep in mind
that our children are seen
from the back as well
as from the front!

What a SUPER outfit!!!
